The Gas Safe Register

The Gas Safe Register is a scheme that regulates people in the United Kingdom who install and maintain natural gas appliances. For a plumber to carry out gas maintenance or the installation of new gas appliances (such as combination boilers) they must be on the Gas Safe Register. The Gas Safe Register is administered by Capita Group on behalf of the government organisation HSE (Health and Safety Executive).

Gas Safe replaced the previous regulatory body CORGI in April 2009.
